One day in 2023, I was sitting in my history class and I realized that while I didn’t particularly care about MacArthur freeing 5,000 prisoners on February 6th, 1945, I was curious about what else happened on that date. Turns out, world famous musician Bob Marley was born on the exact same date, halfway across the world.

And so, after three years of this idea sitting in my ideas jar, I decided to make it into reality (and learning how to make websites within those three years).

The premise is this: pick any specific date within the past 2000ish years, and see exactly which important events happened around the world. For example, on April 1st 1987, Redbull was founded. And if you don’t have a date in mind, there’s a convenient button labeled “Random” available for you to press a thousand times.

Note: Because I wanted quality over quantity, and refused to use AI during my data collection, every date is curated by yours truly; thus, there’s not a lot of them.
